It’s September, which means kids are going back to school, the leaves are changing, and there’s a new iPhone coming out. On September 10 Apple held a keynote event in Cupertino, California to announce a new iPhone, iPad, and more.

iPhone 11

The iPhone is already the most popular smartphone in the world. So, people are expecting a lot from the iPhone 11. Here are all the new features that Apple announced to go with the iPhone 11, the iPhone 11 Pro, and the iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Multiple Rear Cameras

At first glance, the iPhone 11 stands out from previous models with its multiple rear cameras. The iPhone 11 features a dual-lens system, with a Wide and Ultra Wide camera. The Pro versions feature an additional telephoto camera for zooming in.

These multiple rear cameras are sure to take your mobile photography up a notch. The ultra-wide camera allows you to capture an area four times larger than previous models could achieve. The cameras can also record 4K video at up to 60 frames per second. And the new Night Mode feature will help you capture beautiful images, even in low light.

So if you think your photos were nice using the iPhone X, prepare to be awestruck with your iPhone 11 photo and video output.

Faster, Smarter, Better Battery Life

Said to be comprised of 8.5 billion transistors, the iPhone 11 processor chip is faster than its competition or its predecessors. The chip focuses on machine learning, which allows it to perform over 1 trillion operations per second.

Apple claims that the A13 Bionic chip will be 20% faster than last year’s smartphones while consuming 30% less battery.

The iPhone 11 battery will last up to one hour longer than last year’s models, while the iPhone 11 Pro will last four hours longer. Plus, you can fast-charge your phone up to 50% in just 30 minutes.

Design

All three phones come in different sizes. The iPhone 11 has a 6.1-inch display with 326 pixels per inch (ppi). The iPhone 11 Pro is a little smaller at 5.8 inches, but it comes with a higher resolution. It has the same image quality as the 6.5-inch iPhone 11 Pro Max, which is one of the largest iPhones Apple has ever made.

The iPhone 11 is also said to be the most durable phone Apple has ever made. Now there’s no need to have a breakdown when you accidentally spill coffee on your very expensive mobile phone.

While the iPhone XR came with a dust and water-resistance rating of IP67, the iPhone 11 has an IP68 rating. This means it is water-resistant at up to six and a half feet for up to half an hour.

More Colors

The iPhone 11 is available in 6 colors, including black, green, yellow, purple, red, and white.

7th Generation iPad

Aside from its new iPhones, Apple has also completely revamped its line of iPads. For the first time, the seventh generation iPads will run on iPadOS. This new operating system makes it easy to multitask with simple gestures.

Now you can actually type with your fingers using the floating onscreen keyboard and QuickPath typing, which is similar to Android’s popular Swipe feature.

You can also access, manage, and share your files. Plus, there is a MicroSD card slot and a USB-C port, so you can connect it to a desktop computer or an external hard drive.

The new iPad has a 10.2-inch display and a powerful A10 Fusion chip, which Apple claims is twice as fast as the top-selling Windows PC. It’s so powerful that attaching an external keyboard practically turns it into a small laptop.
