These devices are designed to help you track your health from your wrist, take hands-free photos, and give you a PC-like experience in your pocket. Samsung\u2019s biggest announcement at its Unpacked event came when the company unveiled the new Galaxy Z Fold3. This foldable smartphone has a front screen that you can use like a regular smartphone, but it also unfolds into a 7.6-inch tablet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

No More Punch Hole<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

During the Unpacked event, Samsung showcased a brand-new technology that completely hides the camera\u2019s punch hole in the Fold3 display. With its \u201cunder-display camera,\u201d you won\u2019t see the camera unless you are using it to take photos or make video calls.<\/p>\n\n\n

The large screen also gets brighter, and it has a high refresh rate of 120 Hz, which makes motion look smoother when watching movies or playing games. Plus, Samsung included stereo speakers on either side of the Fold3 to give you a more immersive audio experience as well.<\/p>\n\n\n

Split-Screen Multitasking<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Z Fold3 display is so large that you can now open three apps at the same time. That means you can search the web while watching a YouTube video and drawing a skecth, all without switching between apps. You can even re-adjust the size of each app window to maximize your productivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PC Experience<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Samsung says its foldable smartphone gives you a \u201cPC-like experience that fits in your pocket.\u201d Just like your computer, the Fold3 has a taskbar where you can add shortcuts to all your favorite apps for easy access. You can even open multiple apps at the same time without ever going back to the home screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

S Pen<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Samsung brought the S Pen to the Z Fold3, making it one of the first foldable smartphones that lets you draw and write on your screen. The new S Pen Fold Edition comes with a rubberized tip that won\u2019t damage the flexible display and a built-in spring to make it feel more like a real pen. <\/p>\n\n\n

Water Resistance<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Z Fold3 has a water resistance rating of IPX8, which means you don\u2019t need to worry about getting caught in the rain with your device. While that doesn\u2019t mean the Z Fold3 is totally waterproof, Samsung claims that it is the first foldable smartphone that is protected from \u201ceveryday water damage.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n

Samsung Announces Galaxy Z Flip3 at Galaxy Unpacked<\/h2>\n\n\n

During the Unpacked Event, Samsung also announced the Galaxy Z Flip3, a foldable smartphone that is small enough to fit in your back pocket. Like the Z Fold3, this flip phone has a cover screen that you can use to answer calls, take photos, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bigger Cover Screen<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Samsung made the cover screen on the new Z Flip3\u2019s cover four times bigger than the previous model. Now, the screen is big enough to see your messages and notifications at a glance. You can even take a quick photo or video without ever opening your phone.  <\/p>\n\n\n

Flex Mode<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Samsung is combining its hands-free technology with Flex Mode on the Z Flip3. You will be able to take advantage of the folding screen when taking selfies using simple hand gestures, voice commands, or by clicking a button on your Galaxy Watch4. This feature will also keep all your friends in the frame when you take group photos.<\/p>\n\n\n

Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip3 Price and Release Date<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip3 will both be available starting on August 27. The larger foldable smartphone will start at $1,799, while the smaller flip phone will start at $999. If you pre-order either phone, you\u2019ll also get one year of accidental damage protection with Samsung Care+ for free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Samsung kicked off the Galaxy Unpacked event by announcing its newest smartwatch. The Galaxy Watch4 has a totally new operating system, better sensors for tracking your health, and more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the Samsung Unpacked event, the tech company unveiled a new BioActive sensor that lets you calculate your body fat from your wrist. The body composition tool uses a weak electrical charge to measure the amount of muscle, fat, and water in your body.<\/p>\n\n\n

WearOS Powered by Samsung (and Google)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Galaxy Watch 4 is the first watch to run on Wear OS Powered by Samsung. This new platform was built on Google\u2019s smartwatch operating system, so it will work with Google Maps, Spotify, and other popular apps on the Google Play Store.<\/p>\n\n\n

Galaxy Watch4 Price and Release Date<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Samsung announced that the Galaxy Watch4 will be released on August 27. The basic Watch4 has a starting price of $249, while the Galaxy Watch4 Classic will cost $349. The more expensive model is made of stainless steel instead of aluminum, and it comes with a larger display.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, Samsung ended its Unpacked event by unveiling its new wireless earbuds. The Galaxy Buds2 are the smallest and lightest earbuds the tech company has ever made, but they come packed with tons of great new features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Active Noise Cancellation and Ambient Mode<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Samsung also improved the audio quality during phone calls and made the Galaxy Buds2 automatically pair and switch between your Android devices. And even though they\u2019re smaller, the Galaxy Buds2 have a 7.5-hour battery life, which you can extend to 20 hours with the wireless charging case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Galaxy Buds2 Price and Release Date<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Galaxy Buds2 will be available on August 27, starting at $149. That means they cost exactly the same as the original Galaxy Buds when they launched in 2019. You can get the wireless earbuds in four  colors, including Olive, Lavender, Graphite, and White.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
