Ring Video Battery Doorbell Plus: New Features<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The latest video doorbell from Ring has almost all the same features as the previous wireless model, but it also fixes some of the biggest problems. The new Doorbell Battery Plus has higher video resolution, better viewing angles, and a much longer battery life.<\/p>\n\n\n

\"General<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n

Bigger, Better Battery<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to Ring, its new video doorbell has a battery life of up to three times longer than the first video doorbell that was released in 2011. However, Ring didn\u2019t actually change anything about the battery itself. Instead, the company says that it used \u201cenergy-saving features\u201d by tweaking the software of the device itself. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ring claims that its batteries normally last between 6-12 months with normal use. However, many people complain that their video doorbell dies much faster. So, this new model is a welcome addition for anyone that has to recharge their battery frequently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Head-to-Toe View       <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The new Ring Battery Doorbell Plus has a 150-degree by 150-degree field of view, making it Ring\u2019s first wireless doorbell ever with a square video. Compared to the previous generation, which has a 160-degree by 84-degree field of view, the Battery Doorbell Plus lets you see more of your guests from head to toe.<\/p>\n\n\n

Package Alerts<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Since the new Ring Battery Doorbell Plus has a much wider and taller field of view, you can finally take advantage of Package Alert. This feature will recognize when a package is left in a designated area and send you an alert, so you know exactly when it was delivered.<\/p>\n\n\n

The package Alert feature is only available if you create a designated Package Zone, you have motion settings turned on, and you have a Ring Protect subscription.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Higher Video Resolution<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The new Doorbell Battery Plus has the highest video resolution of any wireless model Ring has ever made. While the previous model has a video resolution of 1080p, the new Doorbell Battery Plus has a resolution of 1536p. With its higher resolution, Ring\u2019s newest video doorbell will provide a more detailed view of what\u2019s happening at your front door.<\/p>\n\n\n

\"Smart<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n

While this is the first time Ring has given a wireless doorbell this resolution and square aspect ratio, these are the exact same specs you would get with the Ring Pro 2. However, the new Doorbell Battery Plus has a starting price that\u2019s around $70 cheaper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Ring Battery Doorbell Plus: Price and Release Date<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You can pre-order the new Ring Battery Doorbell Plus now, but it will not be available until April 5. It will be released with a starting price of $179.99, which is $20 more expensive than the Ring Video Doorbell, the company\u2019s previous model that was first released in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n
