ViacomCBS announced it will launch its new streaming service, Paramount Plus, this week. Unlike Netflix, Hulu, and other streaming services, Paramount+ has more than just movies and TV shows. The new streaming service also offers live sports, news, children’s programming, reality shows, and much more. Here’s everything you need to know about Paramount Plus, including what you can watch, how much the streaming service costs, and how you can save 50% on the first year of your subscription.

What Is Paramount Plus?

Paramount Plus is ViacomCBS’ streaming service that will replace CBS All Access starting on March 4, 2021. In its first year, the streaming service will launch with 30,000 TV episodes, 2,500 movies, over 1,000 sporting events, and around-the-clock news coverage.

What Can You Watch on Paramount Plus?

Paramount Plus offers content from all of ViacomCBS-owned brands, like Paramount Pictures, CBS, Comedy Central, MTV, BET, Nickelodeon, and more. Some of the most popular titles and programs you can watch here are ‘Star Trek,’ ‘Big Brother,’ ‘The Daily Show,’ and more.

Paramount Plus will feature new and classic movies, from franchises like ‘James Bond,’ ‘The Hunger Games,’ ‘The Avengers,’ and more. Also, there will be two major movies, ‘A Quiet Place Part II’ and ‘Mission: Impossible 7,’ that will land on the streaming service only 45 days after their theatrical release.

The streaming service will also feature original content, including ‘Star Trek: Picard,’ Stephen King’s ‘The Stand,’ and a new TV adaptation of ‘Halo’ based on the video game. It will also bring back shows like ‘iCarly,’ ‘Frasier,’ and MTV’s ‘Behind the Music.’

What If You Already Have CBS All Access?

If you’re already a CBS All Access subscriber, your account and app will seamlessly switch to Paramount Plus on March 4th. When prompted to sign-in again, just use the same email and password that you have for CBS All Access.

Where Can You Watch Paramount Plus?

Viacom has not confirmed which devices will support Paramount Plus, but it says the streaming service will be available “across a wide number of platforms, including smart TVs, connected-TV devices, online, mobile, gaming consoles, and leading OTT providers.”

If the new streaming service follows CBS All Access’ compatibility, then you can use any of the popular streaming devices, including Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, and Chromecast to stream movies and TV shows.

How to Save 50% on Your Paramount Plus Subscription

To save 50% on your first year of Paramount Plus go to CBS All Access’ sign-up page and create an account. Then choose the annual rate instead of month-to month and use the code PARAMOUNTPLUS when you check out.

You can only take advantage of this deal if you create a new account before midnight on March 3. You will technically be subscribing to CBS All Access, but your account will automatically move over to Paramount Plus once the service launches.
